On the night of 16/03/2025, an anti-drug operation was conducted by DNC, Netrokona team in Charikumpara village of Kalmakanda Sadar Union under Kalmakanda police station of Netrokona district. In the said operation, Babul Mia (33) and Ripon Ahmed (20), sons of Nuru Mia and Salema Akter couple of the same village, were arrested with 11 (eleven) bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor called AC BLACK. Thereafter, a regular case was filed against the arrested brothers at Kalmakanda police station on 17/03/2025 for the crime of storing illegal foreign liquor in their house and running a business in collusion with each other and the accused were handed over to the learned court.
